More Press Releases 26 February 2010

eBucks, FNB's hugely popular rewards programme, recently expanded into the growing mobile advertising market with the addition of Goodyz as a partner from 1 January  2010.

Jolandé Duvenage, CEO of eBucks, said: "As one of the country's leading innovators, eBucks recognises that mobile is the new paradigm and we are eager to break into this space."

Using their smartphone web browser, members can go to http://goodyz.mobi/eBucks.aspx and download the Goodyz application. Members will earn eBucks rewards currency for every advertisement that is viewed (automatically, every time their phone rings, or when messages are sent or received). There is no charge for the Goodyz software, but standard data rates do apply for the images transferred from the Goodyz servers.

Anton Potgieter, MD of Huge Media (a subsidiary of JSE-listed Huge Group Ltd), which owns Goodyz, concluded: "Goodyz has been well received by the market since its launch. With one of the world's highest mobile penetrations, and an ever-increasing local rate of adoption of the mobile web, South Africa is the ideal market to pioneer these sorts of mobile applications.  We are delighted to add eBucks as our reward partner, which means that Goodyz users can now earn eBucks, simply by using their cellphones to view our ads!"
