Earn rule changes 2017

From 1 July 2017, FNB and RMB Private Bank will be changing the way you get rewarded on your bank account(s) to ensure you continue to enjoy the full benefits of your rewards programme.

FNB Easy Accounts

To keep benefitting from your rewards programme, you'll need to have an FNB Easy Account on the bundled pricing option. From 1 July 2017, you'll no longer get rewarded with money in your Linked Savings Pocket if you have an FNB Easy PAYU Account.

FNB Gold Accounts

WHAT'S NEW
  • If you're an FNB Encore Gold customer, you'll be able to qualify to earn eBucks by:
    • Having sufficient deposits over three months into your FNB Encore Gold Cheque Account
    • OR
    • Maintaining a minimum balance in an FNB Cash Investment Account throughout the month.
  • One new qualifying requirement: you'll need to log in to any of FNB's electronic banking channels at least once a month using your own banking profile.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT
  • You'll no longer qualify to earn eBucks if you only have an FNB Gold Credit Card.
  • There'll be seven reward level groups that will allow you to move up the reward levels. For each requirement you meet from a different group, you'll move up a reward level.
  • You'll be able to earn up to 15% back in eBucks on your qualifying monthly FNB Connect spend.

FNB Premier Accounts

WHAT'S NEW
  • You'll be able to qualify to earn eBucks by having sufficient deposits over three months into your FNB Premier Cheque Account.
  • If you're an FNB Premier Select customer, you'll also be able to qualify by having a minimum monthly balance in your FNB Savings and Investment Account.
  • Great new ways for you to collect reward level points, including:
    • Having Bank Your Change™ activated on your FNB Premier Cheque Account or FNB Fusion Premier Account
    • Having a Funeral Policy or an Accidental Death Cover Policy with FNB
    • Spending from as little as R200 per month on your FNB Connect SIM card.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT
  • You'll be able to collect reward level points by spending just R1 500 on your FNB Premier Credit Card or just R250 on online/international shopping per month.
  • You'll be able to earn up to 15% back in eBucks on your qualifying monthly FNB Connect spend.
  • You'll no longer earn eBucks on prepaid electricity bought via FNB's electronic banking channels.

FNB Private Clients

WHAT'S NEW
  • You'll be able to qualify to earn eBucks by having sufficient deposits over three months into your FNB Private Clients Cheque Account.
  • Great new ways for you to collect reward level points, including:
    • Having a Funeral Policy or an Accidental Death Cover Policy with FNB
    • Spending from as little as R200 per month on your FNB Connect SIM card
    • Having an FNB Fusion Private Clients Account.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT
  • You'll be able to collect reward level points by spending just R3 500 on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card per month.
  • You'll need to collect 9 000 points to reach reward level 2.
  • To reach reward levels 4 and 5, you'll need to have:
    • An FNB Private Clients Credit Card and an FNB Private Clients Cheque Account
    • OR
    • An FNB Private Clients Credit Card and an FNB Private Clients Single Facility
    • OR
    • An FNB Fusion Private Clients Account.
  • You'll be able to earn up to 15% back in eBucks on your qualifying monthly FNB Connect spend.
  • You'll no longer earn eBucks on prepaid electricity bought via FNB's electronic banking channels.

FNB Private Wealth

WHAT'S NEW
  • Great new ways for you to collect reward level points, including:
    • Having a Funeral Policy or an Accidental Death Cover Policy with FNB
    • Spending from as little as R200 per month on your FNB Connect SIM card
    • Having an FNB Fusion Private Wealth Account.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT
  • You'll be able to collect reward level points by spending just R7 500 on your FNB Private Wealth Credit Card per month.
  • You'll need to collect 9 000 points to reach reward level 2.
  • You'll be able to earn up to 15% back in eBucks on your qualifying monthly FNB Connect spend.
  • You'll no longer earn eBucks on prepaid electricity bought via FNB's electronic banking channels.
  • Once the spend limits that apply to the various shopping earn categories have been reached, a flat reward rate of 0.5% will apply to the spend on your FNB Private Wealth Credit Card and/or FNB Fusion Private Wealth Card.

RMB Private Bank

  • You'll need to collect 9 000 points to reach reward level 2.
  • You'll be able to earn up to 15% back in eBucks on your qualifying monthly FNB Connect spend.
  • You'll no longer earn eBucks on prepaid electricity bought via the bank's electronic channels.
  • Once the spend limits that apply to the various shopping earn categories have been reached, a flat reward rate of 0.5% will apply to the spend on your RMB Private Bank Credit Card and/or RMB Private Bank Fusion Card.
